Challenge

Megan was sitting oh-so lonely in her pale blue bedroom. Her room has a shaggy neon color themed. She was sitting in her shaggy pink chair, twirling around as she awaited her newly found friend, Jennifer to answer the phone.

*Ring Ring*
"Hello?" Jennifer's depressed mother, Ann, questioned.
"Umm, can I talk to Jennifer, please?" Megan said hopefully.
"She, um..."
"Oh, well can you tell her she still owes me my book about
Spiders?"
Megan interrupted abruputly.
"Well, this is her mother, Ann. Can I help you with anything?" Her mother queried as she twirled the plastic phone cord around her index finger, leaning against the wall.
"Yeah, I met her at the library a couple days ago.
I let her borrow my book about spiders. She told
me she would give it to me today, but she never showed up at school."
she explained with a touch of anger in her voice.
"Well, I don't think you'll be getting that book back, sweetheart."
"WHAT? I owe that book to the library? It's already
overdue! What!? Why?"
She wondered indignantly.
"Honey, she was bitten by a black widow spider while she was sleeping the day before last. She died in her sleep." Ann's voice sounded very sorrowfull and plain. She
started to have a flashback of the hospital visit. Tears started to travel down her face in rememberance.
"Oh, gosh. I'm so sorry." She distressed.
"Me too." Ann tried to hide her tears, but it was quite obvious over the phone. Megan decided not to make her cry anymore, though.
"Okay. I have to go now, though. Thank you for telling me."

*Megan hung up the phone, as did Ann.*
